Welcome to our Lowton and Golborne Community Church website, we are a local church based on the border of Lowton and Golborne. We are a church that puts Jesus at the forefront of everything that we do, we put great emphasis on worship, love and fellowship. We want to encourage all people who are seeking God to strengthen their faith in Christ Jesus with us. Join us as we gather together to grow in love, serve our community and glorify God.
We are a local Christian church that started on March 1st 1998 in a house in Lowton. We moved into Laburnam Road Centre in June 2006 and bought our present church building in Golborne in May 2020. Our purpose is to grow faith in God and build a strong, supportive community and to build on the past history of the saints that started their walk of faith here in 1869 .
What we do
We love to lift up the name of Jesus and worship Him in songs that we sing and in the way that we conduct our lives, our aim is to spread the love of Jesus and build peoples knowledge of the Godhead through the teachings of the bible
Empowering Communities
Our aim is to support local communities by providing a place to meet at our on site cafe that will be opening soon
Caring for the needy
Our aim is to support peoples needs through prayer at our special prayer meetings
Inspiring Worship
Through vibrant joyful worship and spiritual teachings, we inspire individuals to strengthen their faith in Jesus

Stay updated on Christian church happenings
We have a guest speaker on June 9th, Jonny Skinner who is the Pastor of Huddersfield Christian Fellowship. The church is based in Yorkshire and has congregation of over 600 people, Jonny is a young vibrant preacher who travels around the world and is an anointed preacher of the word of God. COMMUNITY CAFE
Come and join us at our Community Café we are open every Tuesday morning from 9.00 to 12 noon, it has a warm friendly atmosphere with a place for Mum's and toddlers

Sermons
Our sermons are a mixture of up to date teaching and encouraging talks given by both the Pastor and members of the congregation. We encourage people to come and join in with us in fellowship on a Sunday morning and because of this we do not publish our sermons on line.
OUR PASTORS
Herbert and Marjorie Cooper started the church on March 1st 1998, they have both been Christians sice their teenage years and believe in the Christian ideal for living out their lives
Our beliefs
We believe that the sciptures are the inspired word of God
We believe that there is one true God revealed in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the diety of the Lord Jesus Christ as God's own Son who was both human and divine.
We believe that man fell into sin bringing both evil and death to mankind both physical and spiritual.
We believe that every man and woman can have a restored fellowship with God through salvation through Jesus dying on the cross for the redemption of our sins.
We believe in water baptism by total immersion after repenting of one's sins and receiving God's gift of salvation
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a special experiance following salvation with the gift of speaking in tongues
We believe that divine healing is a privilage of Christians and all people today and is provided for by Christ's atonement
We believe in the second coming when Jesus will return to earth and reign for 1000 years
We believe in the final judgement when people who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour will go to live with Him for eternity and that people who have rejected Him will be banished to a place of eternal damnation
